THE SCARRED

"In the last few years, THE SCARRED has made a name for themselves as one of the hardest working bands in the underground punk scene today. Their energetic live show has made it's way across the country nearly ten times since the band formed in 2003. At it's inception, The Scarred's first demos made waves in DIY zines across the country. This was quickly followed by touring in the old van, playing everywhere from garages, basements, bars, even an abandoned trailer, and an elevator lobby! They quickly gained a reputation across the US as being one of the few bands who can just be "One of the gang" - hanging out with local bands and local kids across the country, getting to know them. That's why The Scarred has toured the United States so many times, because they've developed real relationships with their fans. After self-releasing their first 10-song full length in 2004, which quickly went out of print, in 2005 they released a split 7" with New Jersey's "Void Control" bringing the sound of suburban angst and alienation from coast to coast. In late 2005, the Scarred was picked up by Punk Core Records of New York, and released their second full-length album, "No Solution" which has kicked it's way in to the heart of the punk scene. As one reviewer put it, "Punk is not dead, and the Scarred proves so" After touring aggressively through 2006, including a summer tour with label-mates Cheap Sex, The Scarred heads back home in late 2006 to record their next full length, tentatively titled "Secret Weapon F/M" - One thing's for sure, this band never stops working!"
